Seven doctors charged with importing drugs

(Cleveland) Seven local doctors have been charged with importing unapproved drugs.

They are all Oncologists throughout the area and are acused of importing cancer meds into the country which have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

They are all hit with causing the shipment of misbranded drugs which is a misdemeanor violation of the food, drug and cosmetic act.

The U.S. Attorney's office in Cleveland says drugs including Zometa, Kytril, Taxotere, Gemzar, Eloxatin and more were brought into the country and they are not federally approved. the doctors charged are as follows:

Hassan Tahsildar, 55 of Euclid

Poornanand Palaparty, 62 of Cleveland

Ranjan Bhandari, 56 of Liverpool

Timmappa Bidari, 68 of Parma

David Fishman, 62 of Euclid

 Su-chiao Kuo, 60 of Brunswick

Marwan Massouh, 54 of Westlake
