(Cleveland) Cleveland City Coucilman Zack Reed met privately with Browns owners on Tuesday to discuss where the funding for a $120 million dollar stadium improvement project will come from.
Reed says the money will come from taxpayers, a loan from the NFL and Browns owners. The NFL will loan the city half of the money needed for repairs which includes 2 High Definition Scoreboards at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Taxpayers would be expected to contribute $42 million dollars.
The plans for stadium upgrades were approved by the City of Cleveland Planning Commission on Friday. They will go in front of City Council on Monday. Get breaking news sent to your mobile phone.Text "news" to 21095.
