(Cleveland) -- The death of a Cleveland man has prompted a city councilman to take note.
The family of Java Bowling III is struggling to pay for his funeral expenses, so councilman Joe Cimperman has started a fund to help raise the money.
Bowling is the man who was shot outside his home on Roanoke Avenue while trying to stop a long-time friend of his from driving drunk. Bowling died about a week later.
Donations can be made online through ohiocity.org, or by mail to Ohio City Inc. Java Bowling Fund, 2525 Market Ave, Suite A, Cleveland OH 44113.
