(Independence) - For ten years, WTAM 1100's Ken Robinson has covered the disappearances of Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus.
He says that as a reporter, you always have to prepare yourself for the worst, but he never really lost hope that they might be alive. Ken points out to the numerous stories he's done on human trafficking.
When Ken learned that the two girls, along with Michelle Knight, had been found alive he stunned. That quickly turned to joy that the women were alive.
Ken also talked about all the rallies and vigils he's covered, and he says the DeJesus family especially never gave up hope. He says they were always confident that Gina would be found alive.
