Arrest for 4th District attack

(Cleveland) -  The Chief of the Cleveland Division of Police announced the arrest of a man wanted in the rape of a woman on Cleveland’s eastside.

The rape occurred on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in the 9500 block of Way Avenue.  The victim then ran to get help at 9509 Way Avenue.

The suspect is 24-year old Jerome Lee of Garfield Heights.

As a result of investigative leads and interviews, Cleveland Division of Police Sex Crimes Unit Detectives were able to obtain a Rape warrant for Jerome Lee in connection with the rape of a 34-year old female.

Chief Michael McGrath says Sex Crimes Unit and Violent Crimes Task Force Detectives and Agents arrested Jerome Lee Saturday at 1:30 p.m., in the 4600 block of E. 131st Street without incident.

Lee is currently being held in the Division’s Central Prison Unit awaiting charges.
