Indians reduce roster, Herrmann sent to Triple-A

(GOODYEAR, Ariz.) – The Cleveland Indians are getting closer to Opening Day and with that comes finalizing the 25-man roster. The Tribe had its third round of roster cuts on Wednesday sending four players from big league camp to Triple-A Columbus.

RHP Frank Herrmann, INF David Adams, LHP Colt Hynes and RHP Preston Guilmet were optioned down to Triple-A Columbus.

The latest roster reduction of the spring brings the total number of players in Major League camp to 42.

The Tribe opens the 2014 season on March 31 in Oakland for a three-game series with the Athletics.
